No Fourth Of July Fireworks In Kingman
For the first time in years, the city of Kingman will not be setting off Independence Day fireworks.
On the fourth of July the city will be staging a block party with free hot dogs, soft drinks and live music. In lieu of fireworks, the crowd will get glow sticks and flags.
The Kingman Daily Miner reported the move follows a warning from City Attorney Carl Cooper thanks to an ongoing lawsuit related to a pyro-technician who was injured in 2013.
The city is one of four defendants in the suit.
