The expanding diversity in the Valley isn’t limited to people who speak Spanish as a first language. Far from it.

Based on figures from the Phoenix Union High School District, there are at least 50 languages students hear or use at home. We talked with Phoenix Councilman Daniel Valenzuela and Nicky Walker of the International Rescue Committee about the need for interpreters.
